Post e46 325i Touring
I couldn't resist this SteelBlue wagon with Sports package and 5mt RWD combo (which e46fanatics.com keeps telling me is very very uncommon etc)

I am refinishing a set of Style 5s for the summer tires, but after May Long Weekend I will be driving the e30 anyhow... so... :idunno:

Cheers, Mike

It truly is!

When I was first looking for a wagon I was disappointed that we never got a 330 version in North America.

The 2.5L isn't spicy enough to make this car "fast" but it's still a beautifully responsive motor. The lower output actually allows more throttle and more revs when driving around without fear of radar guns.

I appreciate that, for now.....

Finally got summer rubber on today and swapped in a ZHP exhaust. Happy with both!

Damn! I’ve been lusting over E46 tourings, yours looks great. I picked up a 2003 325xi sedan to hold me over until I find the right one.
How does the zhp exhaust sound compared to stock?

Thanks for the compliment, you have excellent taste :)

The ZHP is subtle but obvious. It's not much louder, but you can hear it more. And the tone is deeper, and just better. I like it
And while I hate chrome in general, the chrome tips are more substantial and look better with the sport bumper rear aero lip

I'm under the impression that there is a modest power gain from better flow, but I think it's on the order of like 3 HP from the 2.5L

Would do more if I had headers, but I'm not willing to replace those yet. The car is absolutely sweet to drive, no need to mess with it

Mmmm... loving the touring, especially with the 5MT.

I had an e39 touring with a manual for a few years, it was an awesome vehicle. Currently driving an e46 coupe, but I'd trade it for a nice touring in a heartbeat, haha.

Did you end up fitting those style 5's?

Wagon-Love is like any kink, you either have it and you get it or you don't and you don't :)

The Style 5 situation was surprising because they didn't fit:
I put stock sized 225/45 ContiPros on them but they rubbed on the rear quarter edges on both sides.
I forget what their offset was but apparently they just didn't fit with the Lowered suspension.
In a past life (Subaru life) I would have rolled the fenders to get clearance but I'm not willing to do that to this car.

So I sold them as cheap as I had got them and picked up the M Sports for summer set.

I'm very happy with the Continental ExtremeContacts and the Eibachs on Bilsteins

So.... I lasted about 8 months.

I just bought a 2003 330i donor and am planning to swap the b30 in to make it a 330iT
