Post ZGERMNZ 2.0
With the sale of my Z4 M Coupe comes the purchase of my new-to-me 2004 M3 Coupe. After having a few hours of seat time, I am actually very happy I made the swap between the two cars. While they do drive completely different with the Z4MC offering a much more raw, visceral driving experience, the M3 is by no means a softy. I am really enjoying the split personality that the M3 offers; One moment I can be comfortably cruising along in city traffic and the next moment I can be in a full-on sports car bobbing and weaving through corners with a sh*t eating grin on my face. The power delivery is pretty much identical between the M3 and the Z4MC, however, the transmission in the M3 is MUCH more pleasant to use (no more 1 -> 2 grinding, thank god). While I did like the driving position in the Z4MC a lot more than the M3, I'm finding that the fact that I can now heel/toe properly has somewhat made up for the relatively boring driving position. Also, I am finding that as a rather "husky" guy, my body fits a lot better and more comfortably in the M3 which is nice - no more lower back pain after driving for prolonged periods of time! It's the beginning of a new era for my wife and I and I'm glad to be back in an M car with 4 seats, because with any luck, we may be needing the 3rd seat sometime this year

Anyways, onto the pics. I figured I better snap a couple decent shots of her while she's completely bone stock so I can track the mod progression over the next year or so. Enjoy.

PS- This was a 2 minute spray off, hence all the dirt still left on the car in spots lol.

Gorgeous car Mike. I can't wait to see it in person. You'll have to bring it out to a meet soon.

Still can't believe such an unmolested M3 exists in Calgary. Looks good. Keep it in good shape for me and I'll buy it off you once you give in to the minivan.

Thanks fellas!

Wheel plans are most likely going to be just refinising the OEM 19s and slapping on some Pilot Super Sports. I want to keep this car "OEM+". I will be blacking out the kidneys, fender grilles and roof with gloss black vinyl to match the shadowline window trim. I will also be picking up a CSL style rear diffuser and some 4300k Orion V2's. That's pretty much it... for now at least :pimp:

Ran into Pavel driving to work this morning too haha. Those yellow DRLs look badass! I thought I was getting chased by a mobster or something lol.

My advice to you - when you go stroller shopping, make sure to test fit it in the trunk before you buy the stroller... We went stroller shopping and ended up getting my first SUV because i could not fit any stroller in the trunk...
And now if we go car shopping, we drag my son's hockey bag into the showroom :)

Mike is a bear and does not need a stroller. Geez. I recommend putting baby in a backpack. If you have seen star wars you'll know what I mean.

Poll (that's not actually a poll):

4300k AEs or 6000k AEs? GO!

4300. Flows well with H1s. Similar to modern BMWs. 6000k is too purple. 4300 is the oem+ way.

Ya, fullllly agree with 4300k keeping to the OEM+ look. The front end is a little too boring without AEs.

I got the Umnitza Orion V4's in 6000K. It's a whiter light than the OEM xenon or halogens. The V4's are very bright and I use them for drl's instead of the halogens. The night controller dims them by about 20% so they look good at night. I think the V2s have about half the LEDs so the night controller is not as important.
I'd rather have a whiter light than OEM (personal choice), so I changed the HIDs and halogen bulbs with a higher color temperature. They all match pretty well now.
If you want the OEM look, get the 4300K. The AE will match your lights pretty well.

Ya, 6000k is white upclose, but at any sort of distance it turns to an icey blue colour which is a closer match to the current OEM LED halos.

I'll probably go with the v2.5s because you cant get the v4s in 4300k. v2s have 60 LEDs, v2.5s have 90 LEDS and v4s have 120 LEDS.
